Not Listed in Annex I to Directive 67/548/EEC on Classification and Labelling of Dangerous Substances, i.e no harmonised classification within the EU exists but Classification and Labelling must be done in accordance with the Criteria set up in Annex VI to Directive 67/548/EEC.

In Cadmium compounds, the CMR toxicity is attrbuted to that of the Cd++ cation and thus depends on the solubility of the compound (e.g. release of cations). For cadmium carbonate, it is foreseen that read across will be made from cadmium oxide.
