ECHA has finalised and published the second annual report on the progress of implementing “the Roadmap for SVHC identification and REACH Risk Management measures from now to 2020”. You can find the report on our website in the following link: Annual report 2015.
The report describes the main achievements and progress of the activities covered under the SVHC Roadmap in 2015 as well as activities planned for 2016. In addition, an update of regulatory risk management activities under REACH is provided.
You will read from the report that the different building blocks of the SVHC Roadmap (i.e. screening, generation and assessment, RMOA) are now well in place and support the identification of substances that matter most. Nevertheless, as was also concluded in the WSSD2020 workshop that took place here in Helsinki in January, there is still quite some work ahead of us to ensure that the system is optimised in a way that the 2020 goals are achieved.
